University-based training

Applicants must provide proof of satisfactory completion of the university modules listed below. Where a period of greater than two years has elapsed between the completion of the degree and the SAA Accreditation application date, the applicant must also provide a ‘Certificate of Completion’ from an RTO in the relevant accreditation type (date on ‘Certificate of Completion’ must be within two years of the application date).

Proof of completion these studies in the form of a certified academic record. This academic record must be submitted as part of a normal provisional accreditation application, including all other required aspects of this application.

Electrical Engineers

Electrical Engineers seeking Design Only Accreditation through Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) in either Grid Connect PV (GCPV) or Stand-Alone Power Systems (SPS) are required to submit the following as part of their accreditation application:  

  1. a ‘Certificate of Completion’ from an RTO in the relevant accreditation type (date on ‘Certificate of Completion’ must be within two years of the application date) 
  2. evidence of their Electrical Engineering qualification in Australia. NOTE: This can be either the successful completion of an Electrical Engineering Degree in Australia or by mutual recognition through Engineers Australian of an Electrical Engineering Degree obtained overseas. 

 

Electrical Engineers seeking Design Only Accreditation through Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) in Grid Connect Battery Systems (GCBS) must hold full Grid Connect PV (GCPV) Accreditation with SAA and are required to submit the following as part of their accreditation application:  

  1. a ‘Certificate of Completion’ from an RTO in the relevant accreditation type (date on ‘Certificate of Completion’ must be within two years of the application date) 
  1. evidence of their Electrical Engineering qualification in Australia. NOTE: This can be either the successful completion of an Electrical Engineering Degree in Australia or by mutual recognition through Engineers Australian of an Electrical Engineering Degree obtained overseas.
