ACT Audit Program
SAA acts on compliance referrals from State and Territory Electrical Regulators, other Scheme Operators, Industry and Consumers. In accordance with the requirements of the accreditation scheme, accredited individuals need to undertake safe installations and comply with regulations.
The ACT Government manages the inspection process and the Audit Reports for the ACT Audit Program.
SAA issues demerit points based on the audit outcomes referred to us.
Demerit points structure for ACT Government Audit Reports
Demerit points are based on the overall rating of the audit reports referred to SAA. The number of demerit points depends on the severity of the audit report, as outlined below:

Rectification or review of ACT Government Audit Reports
The ACT Government manages the process of rectification for Audit Reports under the ACT Audit Program.
Any evidence of rectification, requests for review, or disputes relating to the inspection findings must be directed to the ACT Government by emailing electrical.inspections@act.gov.au.
